Effective date: February 15, 2026
Anchor ("the App") is developed and maintained by Yakka ("we", "us", or "our"). This privacy policy explains how the App handles your information.
The short version: Your data stays on your device. We don't collect it, we don't sell it, and we don't have access to it.
All data you create in Anchor — including your priorities, backlog items, completion history, streaks, and notes — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server operated by us or any third party.
If you choose to sign in with Google, Anchor accesses your Google Calendar data to:
This integration uses Google's standard OAuth 2.0 authentication. Anchor only requests access to your Google Calendar — never your email, contacts, or other Google services. Calendar data is fetched on demand and is not stored persistently beyond what is needed to display it in the app.
You can revoke Anchor's access at any time through your Google Account permissions.
We do not collect, store, or process:
Anchor does not include any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. The only third-party service is the optional Google Calendar integration described above.
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. Deleting the App removes all associated data from your device. If you have connected Google Calendar, you can separately revoke access through your Google Account settings.
Anchor is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the revised version on this page with a new effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
